Generating an API Token

  1. Log in to Connectwise PSA with an Admin account and go to Settings > Members.
  2. Click the user for whom you want to generate the token, click the + icon on the API keys tab, generate the API token, and copy it. To create a Security Role for Josys integration, please refer to the following:

  3. Open System > Security Roles and click +.

  4. Enter the role name and click Save.
  5. Under System > Member Maintenance, select ALL only for Inquire Level, select NONE for all others, and save.

  6. Under Settings > Members, assign the role to the user to be used for integration and generate the API token.

Integration with Josys

  1. From the left sidebar of Josys, click Integrations > App Catalog.
  2. Search for Connectwise and click it.
  3. The configuration page will be displayed on the right side.
  4. Enter the Region URL, Company ID, Public Key, Private Key, and API Version, then click Next to complete the integration.
    • The Region URL can be found in your login URL.
    • The Company ID is the ID used when logging in.
    • The API Version can be verified from your login URL.
      Example: If the URL is https://staging.connectwisedev.com/v2024_1/ConnectWise.aspx
      → v2024_1
