As part of our ongoing updates, we are gradually changing the term "Member" to "User" and "Employee ID" to "User ID" within our help pages. If you still see "Member" or "Employee ID" on your screen, please read them as "User" or "User ID" respectively while using this help center. For more details on the background of this change, please refer to this announcement.
Overview
This page explains how to map apps to users in the User Profiles even under the following conditions:
- When a user has multiple email addresses
- When the integrated app issues an ID other than an "email address" or "user ID"
Target Audience
IT Administrators
Objective
To map users and apps without any omissions
For example, "SmartHR" accounts are often issued before a user officially joins the company, and the account may be created using a personal email address. If you later register the user in the User Profiles with their company domain email address, the SmartHR account issued with the personal email address will not be mapped to the user. In this case, by registering the personal email address as an Alias ID, you can map the user to the app account created with their personal email address.
Steps
For instructions on how to register an Alias ID, please refer to the following help page.
