Overview
In Josys, for app accounts and devices that are not associated with a specific user but are managed by multiple people, we recommend linking them to a shared user account. This page explains how to manage accounts shared by multiple users.
Step 1. Create a User
Register a user in User Profiles with a name such as "IT Support."
- Click "Users" from the menu to open User Profiles.
- Click "Add Users" in the upper right, then click "Add a User."
Alternatively, if the user is already registered in User Profiles via a department mailing list, click the edit button for that user. - Configure the following settings as needed:
Last Name: IT Support
User Type: System
User ID: IT Department
Email Address: The mailing list address you are using, etc.
Status: Active
*Either User ID or Email Address is required.
Step 2. Link Unmanaged Users to the User Created in Step 1
Please refer to the following help pages to link unmanaged IDs or devices.
*Please note that devices cannot be assigned unless the user's status is set to Pre-boarding, Active, or On Leave.
