With recent updates, the term "Member" in the system has been changed to "User." If you still see "Member" in some parts of this help documentation, please read it as "User." For more details on this change, please refer to this announcement.
How to Distribute Software via SKYSEA Client View
Getting Started
This process uses the software distribution feature of SKYSEA. SKYSEA settings can only be configured for devices. While we provide scripts tailored to several scenarios below, they may not apply as intended to certain environments (e.g., shared PCs where each user logs in with their own ID, and a user logs into the PC for the first time after the script has already run). If necessary, please reconfigure the settings so that the script is explicitly executed again.
Checking Your Environment
On a PC used by a user (employee), open the Command Prompt and run the following command:
echo %USERNAME%
Check the returned value.
Based on the result, select the appropriate scenario below, modify the "required sections" of the script, and save it as a .ps1 file.
- The ID used to log into the device (domain) is the same as the local part (the left side of the @) of the email address registered in Josys.
→ SKYSEA Case A - The ID used to log into the device (domain) is different from the local part (the left side of the @) of the email address registered in Josys.
→ SKYSEA Case B - In addition to the script settings, register the same string as the registry write value in the "Mapping ID (IT Device ID)" field for each user (employee) in Josys. (USERNAME)
- When logging into the device (domain), users log in with a shared ID instead of individual IDs, but you still want to identify and detect individual users. (Users must log into their browser using the same email address registered in Josys, such as an organizational Google or Microsoft account. Otherwise, they cannot be detected.)
→ SKYSEA Case C
- When logging into the device (domain), users log in with a shared ID instead of individual IDs.
You do not need to identify individual users, but you want to identify which PC is accessing the system.
→ SKYSEA Case D
Register the PC as a user in Josys.
When doing so, enter the "Last Name," "Email Address" (a dummy address is fine), and "Mapping ID (IT Device ID)."
For the Mapping ID (IT Device ID), enter the PC name (COMPUTERNAME).
